The minimum fee for garbage covers the costs of disposing of up to 320 pounds of garbage. The fee for additional weight above this minimum, including tax, is $144.34/ton.
There is a flat fee of $25 for unsecured loads. They pose safety hazards and you will acquire an additional fee for failing to properly secure your garbage. In alignment with city ordinances, drivers of vehicles posing a risk in this manner will accumulate a $25 fine as penalty. If you drive on state highways with unsecured loads, your ticket can be anywhere from $216 or more. These fines are steeper than they are within dump site limits.
