Do the Math
The transfer-station fee is only the start. Once you add the rental, the gas, and your Saturday morning, “just taking it myself” usually isn’t cheap or easy — especially for a single heavy item or an awkward load.
By City
Each guide has the closest transfer station, its hours and fees, what it won’t take, and directions — plus same-day junk removal if you’d rather we handle it.

Where It Goes
When you haul it yourself, everything goes in one pile to the transfer station. We work it the other way: reusable furniture and household goods go to charitable partners, metal and appliances go to recyclers, and e-waste goes to certified electronics recyclers. Only what genuinely can’t be reused or recycled ends up at the transfer station — and because we sort loads right on the truck, that’s a lot less than you’d expect.
It keeps usable goods in the South Sound donation network and cuts what reaches the landfill. See our eco-friendly practices »
